NZCMS National Director
It seems appropriate to send out our NZCMS Annual Report on Maundy Thursday. This is the day we remember Jesus washing the feet of his disciples.
After living in the Middle East, I have a personal appreciation of what those feet might have looked like! The fact that the Creator of the Universe stooped down and washed the grime off the feet of the disciples is difficult to get our heads around. But this story does not only tell us about who Jesus was. It also calls out who we are to be as Jesus followers.
Jesus then instructs the disciples:“ If I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have set you an example, that you also should do as I have done to you.”
The Annual Report shares stories of those who have chosen to ‘wash the feet’ of those around them. May these stories be an encouragement to you. May the Lord bless you as you serve and follow the Saviour’s command to love.
In Christ,
Rosie
